Chief Financial OfficerThe City of Winston-Salem, NC is seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead its financial operations and serve on the executive leadership team. This role oversees a $724.7M budget across 27 departments, leads a team of 45, and ensures strong financial stewardship, transparency, and strategic planning. This is a unique opportunity for a proven financial leader to join a management team that is positioning the organization for long-term success through a focus on strategic initiatives and implementation of best practices. The CFO serves as a key member of the City’s executive leadership team, responsible for sound financial stewardship, maintaining fiscal transparency, and strengthening financial comprehension internally with staff and departments and externally with elected officials, residents, and stakeholders. Working with a team of both experienced and recent members, the next CFO will play a leading role in building the departmental culture, implementing best financial practices, and establishing clear, consistent direction for financial excellence with organizational partners.
Lenoir County Finance DirectorAs a member of the Lenoir County Finance Office, you can make a difference! Lenoir County is seeking candidates for the Finance Director. The purpose of this position is to administer the process for the receiving, disbursing, and accounting of revenues and expenditures for the County. Work involves supervision of the budget, purchasing, accounting, collections, billing, cash investments, and payroll operations. Employee performs specialized accountant level work in the preparation and analysis of fifinancial reports, investment of funds, and posting of revenues. The employee must exercise considerable independent judgment and initiative in planning and directing the fiscal control system. Work is performed in accordance with established County finance procedures, local ordinances and North Carolina General Statutes governing the responsibilities of local government fiscal operations. Work is performed under the general supervision of the County Manager and is evaluated through conferences, reports, and an independent audit of financial records.
